Michael A. Snyder, MANAGING PRINCIPAL |
||||
![]() Big agency experience. Strategic focus.
With nearly 20 years of successful PR and marketing experience in the greater Los Angeles area – including prior associations with major international agencies such as BBDO and Porter-Novelli – Michael Snyder today serves as managing principal for The MEK Group, an Indianapolis-based PR and marketing firm. Snyder’s work in business-to-business and commercial defense work have earned MEK numerous awards and honors. More importantly, according to Snyder, MEK’s achievements have significantly advanced the market position and profitability of the firm’s clients.
While Snyder’s resume includes million-dollar media placements and campaigns for the NCAA, Allison Transmission (when the company was part of General Motors) and other major clients, his recent experience includes helping plan and lead a ground-breaking Congressional briefing for billion-dollar commercial defense entities in Northeast Indiana, playing a major role in the development of the WestGate @ Crane Technology Park, and statewide brand positioning for TechPoint, Indiana’s advocate for technology development. Recognized as a veteran of successful change management programs, Snyder organizes and deploys a wide variety of professional tools – planning facilitation, gatekeeper research, message strategy development, and media placements – to achieve lasting advancement for MEK clients. He was a key player in Indiana’s success for a recent major Japan-Midwest Summit, which included presentations by Chairman/CEO-level executives from FedEx, Toyota, Honda and the U.S. State Department. An active member of the national Advisory Council for Discovery Park at Purdue University, Snyder holds an honors MBA from California State University, Los Angeles and is professionally accredited by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). He has been a featured speaker at several national conventions and seminars, including presentations at the American Marketing Association and PRSA. He has served on the business adjunct faculty at Pepperdine University, the University of Indianapolis and IUPUI. He authors a weekly technology column on Midwest Business in Chicago (“The Hoosier Coefficient”) and has written for the Indianapolis Business Journal, Inside Indiana Business, the Hoosier Banker and several other professional publications. |
